it’s been a long time coming but i FINALLY met brandi and ulluminair [and their babies!] for lunch this afternoon. we decided on casa orozco in dublin because i knew it was “baby friendly” with their cool baby carrier hammocks since ellie and i had met stefany for lunch when she was still prego (joshua is HOME now, btw, yaaaaay!)

it was sooooo crazy seeing the HNHS girls – ok, not so much brandi because we’ve done a pretty good job of keeping in touch, but definitely ulluminair – after 12 years!!! she and her beautiful 3.5-month-old nadira arrived and recognized me and ellie right away. i was like “whoa!” and she was like “whoa!” and then brandi and maurice showed up :)

their babies like their bumbo infant seats, so they sat happily in those while ellie chilled in her car seat. she was sooooo good. she looked around for awhile and fell asleep right before they brought our food to the table, so i was able to enjoy my lunch along with the conversation. we dished about everything from birth stories to breastfeeding, and it was like our own little mommy group, only much more intimate than it would have been if we didn’t know each other.

maurice was born on december 9, 2008, ellie was born a month later – almost to the day – on the 12th of january, and nadira was born on february 9th. it wouldn’t have been more perfect if we’d planned it! three babies in three months. so funny :)

on our way out we vowed to get together at least once every few months as our babies grow <3
